A-Z Fruit and Veg Photo Project: M is for Mango

Would you believe me if I said I have never really eaten a mango before? For 25 years of my life I have hated its flavour with a passion. Turns out, my taste buds have changed!

I waited….and waited….and waited, for the sun’s rays to peak over the a tree that was behind me, so that I may play with the light a little. Well, it took a lot longer than I anticipated, so I moved the setting. This light offers a little more interest to the frame.

What is this all about?

  1. What equipment you using for these shots Rachel? In particular your lens. Me like. Is there any post PS re: blur. If there isn’t – awesome. If there is – awesome. Just asking. Sorry for lack of “M”s in this comment.

    • I do need to post process all my photos as I shoot in RAW. I try to get the image as correct as possible on the camera so I don’t have to do a lot of editing.

Any photos you see with ‘the blur’ have come about because I have been shooting with a shallow depth of field. For the M shots, f3.2 and f3.5 respectively.

I have been ‘forced’ into using Nikon gear, as my dad and boyfriend use the brand. Current I am using a D300 and only have access to one lense, 24-70mm f2.8.
